Liam P. Griff is a Vice President with ShoreBridge Capital Partners, LLC. Prior to his role at ShoreBridge, Mr. Griff founded an investment manager, Griff Capital Partners, LLC, through which he manages a small venture capital fund. He launched the fund following his experience at Gleacher & Co., Inc., where he managed proprietary venture capital investments. While in the role, he analyzed, executed and managed a portfolio of seed to late-stage investments in a variety of companies: numerous asset management companies, a home price protection start-up and a small balance commercial real estate lender. Mr. Griff’s contributions included observer status on each of the Boards for these companies, as well as close working relationships with each of the management teams. He also provided oversight for the firm’s investment in an externally managed venture capital fund that included a portfolio of nineteen early-stage investments in the technology sector.
Mr. Griff began his career at Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. in the Fixed Income Syndicate group. Upon the firm’s filing for bankruptcy in 2008, he joined Barclays Capital Inc., where he traded a variety of front-end credit products, including corporate bonds, commercial paper, CDs, floating rate notes, extendible notes and treasuries.
Mr. Griff received his A.B. degree in Government from Harvard College, with a secondary concentration in Economics and a citation in French. In addition to his responsibilities as a consultant and advisor to a number of New York-based start-ups in the beauty, fashion, hospitality and home furnishings industries, he also co-founded a film production company with his brother.
Mr. Griff currently holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 79 registrations.
