Douglas M. Blagdon is Founder and Managing Partner of ShoreBridge Capital Partners, LLC. Prior to founding ShoreBridge, Mr. Blagdon was Managing Director of S.A.C. Capital Advisors, L.P. and Global Head of Marketing and Investor Relations. In this position, Mr. Blagdon was a member of SAC’s senior management team and was responsible for all capital raising and investor relations activity at SAC. Prior to joining SAC, Mr. Blagdon was Managing Director of Citigroup and Global Head of Citi Alternatives Distribution Group. Mr. Blagdon was responsible for the organization and leadership of a team of professionals focused on alternatives capital raising activities globally for Citi and third-party clients, including private equity funds, hedge funds, venture funds, infrastructure funds and other alternative investment vehicles. Mr. Blagdon was a member of Citi Alternative Investments’ Management, Operating and Business Practices Committees. Mr. Blagdon also served as Co-Chair of Citi’s Investment Banking Global Equity Commitment Committee from 2004 to 2008.
Mr. Blagdon began his investment banking career at Kidder, Peabody & Co. Incorporated in 1984. He was a founding member of Kidder, Peabody's Merchant Banking Department, ran numerous industry groups and served on various management and organizational committees. Mr. Blagdon was also a member of the Merger Transition Committee in the sale of Kidder, Peabody to PaineWebber. He joined Salomon Brothers in 1996 which, through certain business combinations, became part of Citigroup. While at Salomon and Citi, Mr. Blagdon was a member of various firm committees and ran a number of investment banking industry groups, until taking over responsibility for the alternatives distribution business.
Over his career, Mr. Blagdon has led the execution of an extensive number of corporate financings, M&A transactions, IPOs, leveraged buyouts, merchant banking transactions, private placements and private fund raisings.
Mr. Blagdon received his B.A. degree from Yale University with a double major in Economics and Psychology, graduating cum laude and was a member of the 1976 and 1977 Ivy League Championship football teams. Mr. Blagdon received his MBA from the UCLA Graduate School of Management. He is married with three daughters and resides in New Jersey and New York. Mr. Blagdon is active in numerous civic and social organizations and serves on the Board of Directors of the Covenant House of New York and the Board of Directors of the Good Grief organization of New Jersey.
Mr. Blagdon currently holds Series 3 and 63 registrations in addition to FINRA Series 7, 24 and 79 registrations.
